Pints for the People: Thompson Ed. Foundation (Adaptive PE Fund)

  • Loveland Aleworks 118 West 4th Street Loveland, CO, 80537 United States (map)

This evening we will be hosting the Thompson Education Foundation's Adapted Physical Education Fund, which will benefit students in the district who have special needs for physical education. Aleworks will be donating $1 from every pint sold from 6-close to benefit this worthy local charity.

Thompson School District’s Adapted P.E. program provides real world physical movement experiences for special needs students in 1st – 12th grade. Creating opportunities outside the classroom setting for students with physical, cognitive and emotional disorders allows the students to build tools necessary to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle despite their challenges. The self-esteem, confidence, and sense of accomplishment that emerges as the students experience new activities is without equal and allows their families to explore and understand activities they may have thought out of bounds for their special needs children. Activities that the program provides include ski trips, bowling, rocking climbing walls, golf and fishing.
