Pickle Fest

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Pickle Fest?

It’s exactly what it sounds like—and somehow more.
A full-blown celebration of pickles, pickle beer, and the kind of ideas that probably shouldn’t work but absolutely do.

Where is it?

At Loveland Aleworks… and also not just at Loveland Aleworks.

We’re taking over a big chunk of downtown—and many Downtown Loveland businesses are joining in, offering their own pickle-themed specials for the day.

So yeah… it’s kind of everywhere.

BUT…the vendors and the food trucks and the live music will all be at Loveland Aleworks.

What’s this about a “larger footprint”?

We went big.

Like… shutting down three streets big.

This year includes:

  • The beer garden

  • The back lot

  • Surrounding streets

  • Way more room to roam

Translation:

  • You won’t be shoulder-to-shoulder all day

  • Lines move faster

  • There’s space to actually enjoy your beer instead of guarding it with your life

How do I get in and move around?

We’ve made it easy:

  • Multiple entry and exit points

  • Plenty of space to spread out

  • Better flow all around

Less bottleneck, more beer.

Should I bring a chair?

Yes. 100% yes.

We’ll have some seating, but if you want to:

  • Claim your hangout spot

  • Post up near a stage

  • Actually sit down at some point

👉 Bring a camping chair.

Is this a kid-friendly event?

Yep. Bring the family. Raise ‘em right.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes—and honestly, they might have a better time than you.

Just:

  • Keep them leashed

  • Make sure they’re cool with crowds

  • Be a responsible human

Do I need a ticket?

Nope. Just show up.

Beer, however, is not free.

How do beer tokens work?

Simple:

  • 1 token = 1 beer (12 oz)

  • $7 in the taproom before the event

  • $8 day-of

We’ll have:

  • Multiple token booths to purchase

  • Separate lines to pick up pre-purchased tokens

Buy early. Save a buck. Feel smart.

Can I still get beer from the taproom?

Yes—and you absolutely should.

You can grab beer inside the taproom and enjoy it anywhere within the festival footprint.

Just remember:
👉 No alcohol beyond the marked perimeter.
And no alcohol between Backyard Tap & Loveland Aleworks! Separate locations, separate booze.

What kind of beers are we talking about?

Pickle beers. A lot of them.

From:

  • Loveland Aleworks

  • Verboten Brewing

  • Wiley Roots Brewing

We’re talking things like:

  • Dill

  • Spicy

  • Sweet

  • Things that make you say “wait… that actually works?”

And once they’re gone—they’re gone.

Will there be food?

Oh yeah.

Food trucks all day long—so you’ve got options when the pickle cravings turn into real hunger.

What about vendors?

70+ vendors—many bringing pickle-themed goods, snacks, and things you didn’t know you needed but now absolutely do.

Is there music?

All day. Two stages. No breaks.
You will accidentally stay longer than planned.

Parking situation?

It’s downtown—so plan ahead:

  • Come early

  • Walk if you can

  • Or embrace the adventure

What if the weather sucks?

It won’t.
But if it does—we’re still doing this.

Final advice?

Bring a chair.
Buy tokens early.
Stay inside the perimeter (beer-wise).
Hydrate (occasionally with water).
Pace yourself…

Just don’t miss it.
