Part time beer tender
Loveland Aleworks is looking for an awesome Taproom Beertender to join our team! As a beertender you would be part of a family-owned and operated independent craft brewery that is passionate about our crafted fine ales, our team, and the community we serve. The ideal bartender will be physically & mentally equipped to work safely in a fast-paced environment as part of a team and independently, who is familiar with craft beer, has strong customer service skills, a proactive and positive attitude who is excited to engage with a vast range of people and personalities. Loveland Aleworks strives to serve beer with excellence, which starts with you!
Ideal candidates will have the following qualities:
Is an active listener who is teachable and a quick learner
Thrives in a fast paced environment as well as motivated during slower periods of time
Honest and integrous
Knowledge and/or passion about a wide variety of beer styles and the craft beer industry with an eagerness to learn more
Ability to accurately manage customer tabs and collect payment for items served
Willingness to be flexible and adapt to change and the needs of a growing business
Available nights, weekends, and holidays. Loveland Aleworks is open 7 days per week, and our busiest hours are nights, weekends and holidays.
Beertenders are the “face” of Loveland Aleworks to taproom guests. They are responsible for the first and last impression that taproom customers receive. Beertending priorities include exceptional customer service, general cleanliness and organization of the taproom.

PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. The beertender(s) are responsible for providing each guest with the best possible experience. This includes, but is not limited to, greeting customers, serving products, making suggestions, recommendations and sharing knowledge about our products offered. Treating customers how you would like to be treated, always in a courteous and respectful manner. Building rapport with customers and members of our community is one of the most important aspects of the Taproom.
VERIFYING AGE: In the business of serving alcoholic beverages, it is imperative to verify the age of our customers and only serve those over 21 years of age. Beertenders are responsible for checking ID’s to verify age PRIOR to serving any alcoholic beverages.
COLLECTING PAYMENT. Properly collecting payment for all items served. All transactions must be accounted for through the point of sale system.
STOCKING PRODUCT. Keeping items fully stocked. This includes, but is not limited to, glassware, merchandise items, food products, Crowlers, sodas, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, pretzels, etc.
CLEANLINESS. Adhering to health code and general cleanliness guidelines. There are daily opening/closing duties as well as weekly side work cleaning duties. General cleaning and organizational tasks should be completed during slow times, keeping in mind that customer service is always a priority.
SAFETY. Adhering to policies, procedures and liquor laws is imperative.
UP-SELLING and INSIDER REWARDS. Beertenders are salespeople. To ensure the growth of the business, it is important that beertenders suggest additional items to customers such as Beer To Go, and to become a 5Star Loyalty Rewards Member.
Hours being offered: 15-20 hours per week

About the Role
Our Sales & Distribution Representatives are the face of Loveland Aleworks out in the world. You’ll own your territory, build real relationships, deliver beer, work events, and help expand our presence in meaningful ways.
This is a full-time role (40+ hours/week), and during festival season, things can get busy—in the best way.

What You’ll Get

After 30 days: eligibility for a performance-based sales bonus (paid monthly)
Overtime pay (1.5x) when applicable

As a brewer at Loveland Aleworks, you would be a part of an independent, family owned and operated brewery that is committed to manufacturing and serving quality ale to our local community through our adjacent taproom and through the Front Range in various storefronts. The ideal brewer is physically and mentally equipped to work safely in a fast-paced environment as part of a team and independently, is familiar with craft beer, understand fermentation principles, and brewing at a commercial level. Loveland Aleworks strives to serve beer with excellence which starts with you! We love to share our ales with others, so each day is task driven to keep up our beer production with the beer demand for the taproom and distribution. Whether you are new to commercial brewing or have five years of experience, Loveland Aleworks is seeking someone who is an active listener who is a teachable, quick learner, passionate about craft beer, and thrives working in a fast paced, task juggling environment.

Cellar Work
Assist head brewer in production work, daily cleaning tasks, and brewery projects
Take and log proper measurements
Learn and adhere to standard operating and safety procedures in wort production, vessel cleaning and sanitation, fermentation and maturation, and workplace SOPs/chemical handling procedures
Clean, sanitize, and maintain tanks and cellar area
Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment, hoses, etc.
Clean and stages products in cooler
Take note when supply is running low and notify head brewer
Communicate with all departments to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
Packaging
Work as a canning line operator to fill and package cans
Inspect quality of products to ensure excellence in our products
Work with sales and other production team members for timely production
Work with production team to complete setups, change-overs, and clean-ups in a timely manner
Clean and organize dirty kegs
Follow and maintain production calendar
Take note when supply is running low and notify head brewer
Warehousing
Operate a pallet jacket and other machinery as approved by supervisor
Maintain and organized and clean work environment
Organize kegs and pallets in coolers for quick and safe function
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and report them to department manager
Experience & Considerations
Passion for craft beer and understanding of the lifestyle
Zero to five years experience in a commercial brewery
Experience in a production environment desired
Must be an active listener and be able to quickly take instruction
Enjoys working under pressure and at a fast pace
Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
Must be able to frequently lift up to 50-100 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time
As a member of a small team, must be willing to perform other duties as required to get the job done
