Hop Talks:

  • Loveland Aleworks 118 West 4th St Loveland, co 80537 US (map)

What is beer really made of—and who’s actually doing the work?

Join Mike Myers of Root Shoot Malting and Nick Callaway of Loveland Aleworks for an interactive Hop Talk that breaks beer down to its core ingredients and processes.

Together, they’ll follow barley’s journey from a Colorado Centennial Farm, through malting, brewing, and fermentation, all the way to the finished beer. Guests will taste the beer alongside small pours of malt tea—steeped malts used in the recipe—allowing everyone to experience how individual grains contribute flavor, color, and body.

Along the way, you’ll learn why brewers don’t actually make beer—we make food for yeast—and how decisions made in the field and the malthouse shape everything that ends up in your glass. It’s a hands-on, drink-along look at beer from grain to glass, no prior beer knowledge required.
